Experience the quintessential colours and culture of the Netherlands on this full-day journey from Amsterdam. Your morning begins with a scenic drive to the world-famous Keukenhof Gardens, where you’ll wander through 32 hectares of vibrant floral displays. Before entering the park, we’ll make a special stop at a local tulip field for those iconic “sea of flowers” photos.
In the afternoon, we travel to Delft, the “City of Blue” and the birthplace of the Dutch Master Johannes Vermeer. As you walk the same canals that inspired The Girl with a Pearl Earring, you’ll discover why this city was the center of the Dutch Golden Age. We will visit De Candelaer, a traditional, family-run pottery factory, to see a live demonstration of the hand-painting techniques used to create authentic Delft Blue.

To fully enjoy the charm of Keukenhof’s gardens and Delft’s historic cobblestone streets, please expect to walk approximately 10,000 steps throughout the day; comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

Free time to explore the garden and lunch.
We departure to Delft, right after we do a photo stop in tulip field nearby to be defined, Note: since tulips are plants that are out of our control, the availability of the fields depends on the plant life cycle and crop.
After a short walk to the city centre a walking tour will be provided, visiting the most important landmarks of the old town.
We will bring you to a local pottery manufacturer to assist an explanation about history and how Delft Blue is produce.
You will the have free time to explore the city centre, among the main attraction that are available is the New Church (Nieuwe Kerk) that is the actual burial place for the Dutch Royal Family and the Old Church (Oude Kerk) that contains among other the remaining of Johannes Vermeer.
The return to Amsterdam takes approximately 90 minutes, drop off will be near DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam Centraal Station, Oosterdoksstraat 4, 1011 DK Amsterdam.
